We detailed these baddies on our chart below and have included what stage they appear, what weapon X can earn from them, and a few other interesting tidbits. Of course, we'll reserve our final judgment for later on down the road as we approach review time - but in the meantime, we've managed to get our buddies at Capcom to send us some new information pertaining to the various bosses that Mega Man X8 has to offer. Throw in the fact that users can also collect power-up chips for upgrades, unlock several different endings, and uncover a multitude of hidden items, and you have the makings of a potentially better experience than the somewhat disappointing effort from last year. Moreover, the tag team action from Mega Man X7 has been improved upon so that players can now switch between characters at any time instead of predetermined junctures. Unlike previous games in the series, however, Mega Man X8 marks the first time in the franchise's long history that the American version of the game will hit stores before it does in Japan. Luckily for Blue Bomber fans, Capcom will keep that yearly tradition going with next week's expected release of Mega Man X8 - the latest in a long line of actioners dedicated to the darker side of the Rockman universe.

It wouldn't the typical holiday season if sometime before the end of the year we weren't treated to some kind of brand new Mega Man game.
